Quality Landscape, Inc. is a landscape design, installation, and hardscaping company established in 1972, operating from 2611 Abbot Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823, under Michigan Builder’s License No. 2101061940.

Use of this website

This website is provided for information about our services. Content, photography, and descriptions are ours or used with permission; please do not copy them for commercial use without asking.

Every photograph on this site is of work we performed. We describe our services and our history accurately, but nothing on this site is a binding offer — a project is defined by the written proposal you sign, not by a web page.

Estimates and proposals

Estimates are free and are provided in writing. An estimate reflects the scope, materials, and site conditions known at the time it was prepared. Conditions discovered after work begins — buried debris, unmarked utilities, undisclosed drainage problems, or soil that differs materially from what was visible — may require a written change to the scope and price, which we will discuss with you before proceeding.

Prices quoted are valid for the period stated on the proposal. Material costs in this trade move, and a proposal from last season is not a price this season.

Scheduling and weather

Landscape work in Michigan is weather-dependent. Frozen or saturated ground, extreme heat, and heavy rain all affect when work can proceed safely and correctly. We will keep you informed of schedule changes; we will not install work in conditions that would compromise it.

We complete projects one at a time. That is a commitment to the customer whose project is running, and it means new projects start when the current one finishes.

Warranty

Completed work carries a 1-year labor and material warranty as described in your written proposal. The warranty covers defects in our workmanship and in materials we supplied.

It does not cover damage from causes outside our control: neglect of watering or maintenance instructions, damage by animals, vehicles, or third parties, extreme weather events, changes made by others, or plant loss following failure to water as directed. Plants are living material; establishment depends substantially on care after we leave.

Permits, utilities, and code

Where a project requires a permit or an engineered design — retaining walls above the height threshold in the applicable code, for example — we will tell you and address it as part of the scope.

Underground utilities are located before excavation as required by Michigan law. Private lines not covered by the public locate service (irrigation, invisible fence, low-voltage lighting, private gas runs to a grill or pool heater) are the property owner’s to identify. Please tell us about them before we dig.

Payment

Payment terms are set out in your written proposal. Deposits, progress payments, and final payment schedules vary with the size of the project.

Discounts

We offer discounts to military members, veterans, senior citizens, and first responders. Please mention eligibility when the estimate is prepared; discounts are applied to the proposal rather than retroactively to a completed invoice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Michigan law, our liability in connection with a project is limited to the amount paid for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
