Retaining Walls

Segmental and natural stone walls built with the drainage and reinforcement the soil load actually requires.

What this actually involves

A retaining wall is a structure holding back a wet, heavy, freezing hillside — not decorative edging. What keeps it standing is the base, the drainage stone and pipe behind it, and geogrid reinforcement into the slope where the height calls for it. Walls that lean and bulge in year three skipped one of those three.

One of our own customers described a wall we built for them as "a work of art." We would rather it be described as still perfectly straight.

What is included

  • Compacted base course set below grade and levelled to tolerance
  • Free-draining stone backfill and drain tile behind the wall face
  • Geogrid reinforcement into the retained soil where the height requires it
  • Segmental block, boulder, and natural stone construction
  • Walls over four feet designed and permitted per code, not eyeballed

Every completed project carries a 1-year labor and material warranty. Discounts for military, veterans, senior citizens, and first responders.
